Kvwetv
Kvwetv is a large-scale, seven-panel painting created for the new Coweta Casino and Hotel, a Muscogee Nation enterprise located in Coweta, Oklahoma. Spanning an entire wall, this installation is the largest work I have created to date.
The piece reflects the land and waters connected to Kvwetv, one of the four Muscogee Mother Towns and my family’s Tribal Town. Layers of color and texture draw inspiration from the Chattahoochee River and the surrounding landscape, referencing the minerals, earth, and movement of water that hold memory across generations.
Working in oil, cold wax, and mixed media on panel, the composition moves across seven connected surfaces, allowing the painting to unfold like a landscape. Each panel carries its own energy while remaining part of a larger story of place, continuity, and relationship to land.
Installed in the new Coweta Casino and Hotel, Kvwetv reflects the importance of Muscogee stories being present within Muscogee spaces. It is an honor to have this work live there for generations to come.
