Autumn Equinox is a reflection of the rhythm of nature and the intrinsic connection that Indigenous people share with the cycles of life.  Representing the changing of seasons and going within during the fall to prepare for the winter.  The top of the canvas captures the impending arrival of longer nights and colder days, serving as a visual metaphor for the introspection and preparation during fall.  The lower portion of the painting is lighter, symbolizing the promise of returning light and the cyclical nature of existence.  A juxtaposition of the contrasting tones shows the delicate balance of the natural world.
